Thank you for visiting this page and watching my free webinar!  I'm sure that anything I can say about "The Piano Man Approach" is better said in the video than what I can write here, but I would like to reiterate a few things that are of greatest meaning and importance to me.

Music has always been a great sanctuary for me...a place I can retreat when I need some relief from the many stresses of life, or a special playground I can visit when I'm already happy and just want to take my joy to the next level.  It was like that for me as a little boy before I even knew I wanted to play an instrument.  But the power of music to lift my spirit and improve the quality of my life skyrocketed to levels I didn't know were possible when I learned this incredible piano method and became the source music was emanating from.

I took piano lessons for six years learning the traditional method of reading notes on a page, but, like so many others, I just never made much progress with it.  After all that time I really didn't have much to show for it...or even any songs I could sit down and play for pleasure, and learning anything new was a very difficult, time consuming process that would break my spirit every time before I got anywhere.

But when I was exposed to what I now call the "Three Pillars" of the "Piano Man Approach" (Chords, Rhythm Patterns, & Improv Techniques) for the first time, my relationship with music changed forever, and so did my life.  Suddenly, I was learning all the songs I wanted to play in a matter of  just a few minutes, and enjoying the creative flexibility to try all kinds of different things with them until I found what felt and sounded best to me.

For the first time, I got to live inside the songs rather than be an observer from a distance.  I had no idea at the time that it would become the work of my life, and looking back, it doesn't matter that it did.  What fueled me then is the same thing that fuels me now....it was a source of JOY in my life...and are any of us REALLY looking for anything else???

That's why I do this....to help others discover the joy that I have found in making music.  In this busy, interesting, and often chaotic world we live in, most of us don't have time to master reading notes on a page, and yet, more than EVER, we need that peaceful, joyous sanctuary that making music can provide.  And I believe "The Piano Man Approach" can be the solution for a lot of people.
